Located only 15 miles from each other, both styles are made from 100% nebbiolo and require over two years of aging; yet unlike Barolo, Barbaresco is slightly more graceful while serving brooding power. With eight years of age, the Giamello has truly come into its own. Dark with black cherries, a perfume of rose petals, rustic notes of coffee and leather from oak and age—and burgeoning tannins—this wine is gorgeous with grilled fillet, game, or classic carne cruda.
