A hop, skip and a jump away from Saint-Emilion lies the village of Genissac. A 'simple' Bordeaux, it actually bears comparison with its better-known neighbours. A very high percentage of Merlot (80%) makes for a deliciously round and supple drink. Cabernet Franc adds berry fruit and complexity, and a little Cabernet Sauvignon stiffens the backbone.
