Pere Mata Cava Cupada Rose NV 750

Pere Mata works with 5 hectares of vines in his native Saint Sadurni d’Anoia in northeastern Spain and focuses on producing high quality sparkling wine, or “cava,” from native grape varieties. He works organically in the vineyards and allows the wines to age on their lees for an extended period of time, adding complex toasty notes to the ripe fruit flavors. His wines are serious and dry. The Brut Reserva Cupada Rose is made from the white grape, Parellada, and black grape, Garnatxa, which are co-fermented and aged on their lees for at least 2 years. Notes of cranberry, wild strawberry, red flowers and pie crust with a very dry finish. A great starter with mixed appetizers!
