TThe Rum Consumers Alliance (RCA) is a collection of like-minded representatives from rum consumer groups, educators, and industry professionals whose goal is to promote rum and sugarcane spirits through education, communication, and advocacy. Founding members of the group visited the Privateer distillery in the spring of 2022 and hand-selected this exclusive offering. It rested in barrel for an additional season before being bottled at cask strength in the fall of the same year. MA's own Boston Rum Social Club is one of the founding members of the RCA and will be promoting the release! One of a Kind Unique: A singular rum aged in new and used American oak barrels for a minimum of five years. Full Flavored: Bottled at cask strength for big, bold character. Unadulterated: This rum is a product of spirit, water, oak, and time. No artificial flavors, sweeteners, or dyes are used. Authentic: Fermented, distilled, aged & bottled by Privateer in Massachusetts. Barrels were harvested and blended on July 21, 2021 and recouped on August 19th, 2021. The rum was made from our “Yankee” recipe which consists of both Grade A molasses and real boiled brown sugar. Eight of the barrels were column distilled (“fine”) while two were pot distilled (“thick”). Bottled on September 15th, 2022 at cask strength (112.2 proof).
