Chenin Blanc is, without a doubt, the most under-appreciated white grape in the world of wine. Rarely does anyone profess a dislike for it (perhaps the occasional hesitance regarding sweetness, easily dispelled with seas of bone dry incarnations such as this); rather, mostly folks just don't think of it. Soucherie is responsible for one of the best versions we've come across in years. Tropical expressions of mango and grilled pineapple, dark smoke and all, are offset by taut, snappy minerality. Tones of Meyer lemon and Bosc pear follow with a finish of salty saline and a beguiling complexity rarely seen in wines at this price. Anjou is a magical appellation capable of near-legendary quality, and "Cuvee les Rangs de Long" showcases this fully. This is perhaps the best dry white we've come across for the Thanksgiving table since we opened our doors! Food Pairing: Roasted Cauliflower and Leek Soup, Moules Mariniere, Oyster Stuffing,
